Bette Midler and Macy Gray address backlash over comments deemed transphobic

Bette Midler and Macy Gray have each responded to criticism some recent comments they made were transphobic.

Midler was slammed for tweeting, “世界の女性! 私たちは私たちの体に対する私たちの権利を剥奪されています, 私たちの生活、そして私たちの名前さえ!”
They don’t call us ‘women’ もう; they call us ‘birthing peopleor ‘menstruators, and even ‘people with vaginas’!,” her tweet reads. “Don’t let them erase you! Every human on earth owes you!”
