The move came after a new case of Covid-19 variant was confirmed on Saturday on a person who recently returned from the UK, NHK said.
Five other travelers from Britain were also detected with the variant the previous day.
The new coronavirus variant is said to have originated in the UK and be potentially more transmissible. Since its discovery, 多于 40 国家 have restricted travel from the UK, and in some cases, travel from other countries that have documented cases with the variant.
