Dolan and Cawvey made the comments as controversie over racial diversity trainings and curricula have swept the nation in recent months.
CRT is a controversial philosophy – a progressive idea that proponents say can increase racial equity and which critics describe as Marxist, anti-American and neo-racist.
American Federation of Teachers (AFT) Presidente Randi Weingarten said on Tuesday that the union “will defend any member who gets in trouble for teaching honest history.”
“We have a legal defense fund ready to go and we are preparing for litigation as we speak,” ha continuato. “Teaching the truth is not radical or wrong.”
“Distorting history and threatening educators for teaching the truth is what is truly radical and wrong,” Weingarten went on to say.

Spokespeople with the Lansing School District and the Fox Chapel Area School District did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.
